OK, you found us - so now what?

Getting involved in ORGT Backpacking is easy, whether you've got lots of time or a little!

The best way to find out more about ORGT Backpacking and to meet people who are interested in the outdoors like you is to come to a subcommittee meeting. Here is a list of officers, trip leaders and instructors, and others who may come to the meetings.

If you are new to the outdoors, or to backpacking, you might find one of our instructional schools to be a good introduction. ORGT Backpacking offers classes every semester that cover everything from basic skills to navigation with map & compass. We also offer theme trips and classes on occasion, such as photography trips, "gourmet" cooking trips, and night hikes. Find out more by checking out our current calender or schools page!

If you already got some experience, and just want to meet people like yourself and get out there - Non-official Trips are for you. Further, we offer qualification trips that will qualify you to rent gear without boring you with beginner stuff. If you are interested, they are usually the second overnight trip of the beginner school.

Want to be even more involved? ORGT Backpacking, like all of ORGT, relies heavily on student leadership. Find out more about leadership opportunities with ORGT Backpacking.
