About Rock Climbing at ORGT

Outdoor Recreation of Georgia Tech, mostly referred to as ORGT is a student-run, volunteer-driven organization that provides instruction, gear rental and organized trips for various outdoor sports.
The Rock Climbing subcommittee handles all policies, classes, trips, and events related to rock climbing. Each semester, several classes are taught, ranging from "never-climbed-in-my-life" beginner courses
to more advanced climbing courses that teach leading and gear placement skills.
ORGT Rock Climbing is unique in that we are one of the very few institutions anywhere in the country to offer a full range of gear for rental. Qualified students can check out anything from just shoes and a harness to
a full Traditional climbing rack, ropes, and even bouldering pads... all at extremely low cost. A yearly budget ensures that we always have gear that is both current and in excellent condition.
